Without your support, The Voices and Faces Project cannot do its important work. Your donation will allow us to:
- Reach out to rape and sexual assault survivors nationwide, offering those in need a sense of solidarity and possibility, and linking them to the resources that can help them.
- Operate our national speakers bureau, a group of survivor/participants reaching out to community and religious groups, legislators and policymakers, and fellow activists to raise awareness of how rape and abuse impact victims, families and communities;
- Advocate for more humane treatment of sexual assault survivors -- and stiffer penalties for perpetrators of sexual violence -- through our national community outreach program;
- Operate and manage voicesandfaces.org, an interactive survivor "safe zone" that serves millions of survivors every year and reaches a national and international audience;
- Respond to hundreds of incoming survivor surveys and requests received on a monthly basis;
- Expand our survivor website to include a Spanish-language version, web log and chat room;
- Offer our testimonial writing workshop for survivors, a powerful and important class that provides a safe space for those seeking to write about the injustice they have lived or witnessed;
- Create our book, audio documentary, and traveling installation of survivor stories and photographs, three initiatives that will raise awareness of this issue while bringing our important message to diverse communities of women, children and men.
