Tracey Stevens
After hearing about The Voices and Faces Project, Tracey, a sexual-assault survivor, decided to share her story with the project. She was so touched by the outpouring of support she received by sharing her story on the website that she decided to join the team. As Community Outreach Coordinator, Tracey collaborates with other anti-violence organizations and reaches out to the public to find new ways to contact survivors of sexual assault.
"If I can help just one person by working with the project, that's all the praise in the world I need. I only wish I had someone to help me in this way nine years ago when I was sexually assaulted," says Tracey. "Sharing my story has helped me heal in a way I never thought possible. It is a wonderful feeling to hold my head high and show that I am not ashamed."
Tracey has worked for the past 11 years as a legal secretary at Winston & Strawn in their Chicago offices.
