Katie Feifer
With more than 10 years working as an activist on the issue of sexual assault and over 28 years of market research experience, Katie's unique background and passionate commitment to survivors has made her a much-valued member of The Voices and Faces Project team.
Katie started her career at Leo Burnett Company, one of the country's most respected communications firms, where she worked as a researcher. Today she is an independent consultant based in San Diego. Katie's involvement with The Voices and Faces Project began when she was interviewed for a survivor profile. She immediately realized the potential of the project to make a profound and lasting impact on how our society addresses the issue of rape. She also wanted to use her voice to help other survivors and to educate people on the impact of sexual violence.
In addition to speaking out about sexual assault, Katie developed and analyzes the ongoing Survivor Questionnaire. She uses the stories and information to create presentations that educate, inspire and promote change as part of the project's community outreach program.
"I feel grateful that The Voices and Faces Project gives me a way to use my voice for the greater good, and I am continually touched and awed when I read other survivors' stories," says Katie. "I'm excited to be able to harness the power of these stories to benefit others and to change attitudes and policies for the better."
